July 2014 — Recap

July 2014 Recap | KellysRevival.com

How I spent my month:

August flew by and I didn’t have a chance to recap my July!  You may have noticed that my facebook page was a little quiet at the end of June/early July as I was taking a break from technology.  Because I was in ITALY!!!  If you haven’t been to Italy, you need to make plans to go there PRONTO (or rapidamente, if you want to be technically Italian).  Our tour pretty much traversed the entire country in 15 days, so it was a bit of a whirlwind, but we got to see so much (and made a list of places to visit again at a more relaxed pace).  Maybe I should write a few posts about Italy, but here is a short photo recap.

Sleep Study — Part II (the sleep test and results)

Sleep study 2 | KellysRevival.com

It has been quite a while since my last post!  If you remember, I took a sleep test a few months ago (Sleep Study — Part 1).  I met with the RN to discuss my results, but first, I want to tell you a little more about the test itself and what it was like to have a sleep test.

Luckily, after you’re hooked up to all of the wires, you’re not strapped in for the night.   Continue reading

Sleep Study — Part 1

Isn’t it creepy if someone watches you sleep?

Not tonight!  My heart rate, brain waves, REM and more will be monitored in a sleep study.

I’ve never really had an issue falling asleep or staying asleep but I’m a pretty fidgety sleeper.  I kick and thrash about and sometimes my whole body jolts right when I’m about to fall asleep.  I’ve talked in my sleep most of my life and my roommates in college told me that I laugh in my sleep.  I occasionally wake up and catch myself in the middle of sleep talking, which is an odd feeling.  (Am I still dreaming?  Did I say that out loud?)  During my really bad bouts of (stress-induced?) eczema, I scratched my legs and arms in my sleep.  Sometimes I would Continue reading
