What I’m reading:

I’ve read this Erin Brown article 5 times in the past 2 weeks.  My favorite part: “If the question is ‘how do I stop hating my body?’  The answer is within you.  If everything else has to change then you are asking, ‘how can I make the culture I live in accept and validate who I am?’  And the answer to that is, you cannot.”

I’m thinking about making my own sunscreen for summer!  My inspiration is from the Mommypotamus and Holistic Squid recipes and I’ll add some Myrrh essential oil to boost sunburn protection.  (That’s Myrrh, as in… gold, frankincense, and… myrrh)

I love all of Matt Stone’s work but his new slides are really cool.

I’ve read about dry brushing before, but The Crunchy Moose has one of the most comprehensive step-by-step posts I’ve seen about it.  I may have to try it!

Should we be blaming the USDA dietary recommendations (MyPlate) for the obesity epidemic?  Go Kaleo thinks we shouldn’t – since we’re not following their guidelines anyway.

Is it possible to improve your eyesight naturally?  YogiMami has some eye exercises that may help.

New Recipes to Try:

Maple Mustard Glazed Shrimp from Cinnamon Spice & Everything Nice

Strawberry Shortcake Cupcakes from Dr. Axe

For Fun:

So hoppy.  Do you know the background of IPA craft beers?

One of the funniest things I’ve ever read.  What if you texted your dog?
